Match Reports

AFC Quiche 0 - 1 Three Little Cocks

AFC Quiches first game of the season didn't go to plan and the team failed to live up to the hype that has been circling the footballing world. They lost 1-0 to Little Cocks! Although there are signs the team has potential neither looked like scoring and one goal, was always going to settle it. Bavetta made an encouraging start to the season but can feel let down by the players in front of him. Quiche badly need a striker that knows where the net is, as we never looked like scoring even if they didn't have a keeper!! But after months of looking the search is over and Quiche have signed that striker he will make his debut next week but we will not be announcing his name but i can guarantee he will score the goals that Quiche need and the fans want to see so we can put the smiles back on there faces! We hope the fans will stick by us as we are still blending as a new team, but looking at thurs game i think the future is bright the future is Quiche!!

The Special Ones 0 - 3 AFC Quiche

AFC Quiche recorded their 1st victory of the season with a comfortable 3-0 win over Special ones. Quiche started the game with confidence and again it looked like they would end up with no goals. With GC and JC at the back and Bavetta the cat behind them i don't think Quiche will give away too many goals. Jock Jim and Ben Ives both made impressive debuts and with the workhorse Phil Millward up front these are exciting times ahead for the Quiche faithful!! First goal came when JC went through and cool as you like slotted under the keeper, then a lovely move from the back ended up at the end of Ben Ives left foot there was only going to be one outcome 2-0 Quiche! Quiche then looked happy to take the 2-0 win but Barry Head had other ideas, winning a 50-50 tackle then beautifully tucking the ball away into the bottom hand corner of the net and running away to celebrate with the Quiche faithful on the touchline before embracing the manager it was an emotional moment for all there! With the Director of Football Tim Mason watching from the stands he culdn't help but be impressed with the way the Quiche players overcame this tricky encounter!

Thats it for this week sports fans and remeber the future is bright the future is Quiche!!

AFC QUICHE 5 - 2 FEAR PRESTON

AFC Quiche wrapped up another 3 points with an impressive 5-2 victory against some team(can't remember name!). Quiche played the sort of football the fans have expected to see and with Phil Millward geting back to form things are looking good. Quiche had a depleted squad for the game but showed the depth they have in the squad! Before kick off Quiche announced the double signing of Tom Costello(Unattached) and Ben Ives from deadly rivals Polebrook. Tom Costello got off to the start every player dreams of by firing home to give Quiche the lead then Ives doubled the advantage silencing the hostile crowd that were giving him abuse. Ives again scored to give Quiche a 3-0 lead but the other team pulled one back, then the moment the fans have been waiting for a penalty was awarded and up stepped Phil to break his duck and true to form fired it wide!!! Costello made it 4-1 Quiche before that magical moment Phil Millward firing home to make it 5 and in an emotional celebration embraced his fellow manager GC with a hug!! The other team pulled one back when Bavetta claimed he couldn't see the ball but everybody saw he dived out of the way of the ball cos the bloke hit it hard!! The final whistle went 5-2 Quiche!
On this performance Quiche could be champions by Christmas, manager Phil Millward was delighted with the performance but was more concerned about finding his knob as it was a wet and cold night!!

Thats all for this week sports fans and remember the future is bright the future is Quiche!!!

AFC Quiche 3 - 1 Leighton Farmers

Quiche upset the odds and got there title challenge back on track with a deserved 3-1 win against the previously unbeaten and runaway leaders Leighton Farmers. The farmers turned up in there land rovers thinking this would be a walk over but Quiche proved they can match anyone on there day. Again missing Ives and Colledge Quiche had to dig deep into there squad and get someone special and indeed they did just that when they unleashed the Wagstaff! Quiche started the game very well and were 2-0 up within a couple of minutes through wagstaff, his 1st coming from a geat ball from the back by GC and the 2nd after the defenders backed off him, only going to be one outcome! The farmers pulled one back, but with Bazza and Gazza the pitbulls at the back and bavetta the cat making save after save, there was only going to be one winner! Quiche were holding on until wagstaff finished the farmers off with his hat trick and Quiches 3rd, we even had the luxury of Tom Costello missing a host of chances. Again with Phil Mill and Dave Mill working there socks off Quiche were always up for this battle. Again special mention must go to bavetta who had another impressive game and even played with a hand injury thats how much this club means to the boy! This win puts Quiche right back in the title mix and with plenty of games left to play there are going to be more thrills and spills to come!

Thats it for this week sports fans and remember the future is bright the future is Quiche
